North Frontier is located in Saariselkä, Lapland and offers comfortable cabin accommodation, ready made packages and outdoor excursions. We have also just opened our own restaurant.

We offer accommodation in 10+ cabins in Laanila area and a wilderness retreat cabin on a lake Inari. We can organize activities such as snowmobile safaris, dog sledding, fishing etc. We provide reliable transportation services as well.

As a small & local company, customer comfort in extreme and rugged Lapland is our expertise!

We have launched the first Northern Lights Village resort in Saariselkä, in December 2016. After two successful winter seasons providing glass-roofed accommodation, aurora hunting, arctic activities and unique experiences, we have a launched a second resort in Levi in November 2019. More recently, on the 1st of December 2023, we have launched Northern Lights Village Pyhä.

Posio Lapland.....

Posio is better known as the hidden gem of Finnish Lapland. Away from the highways Posio’s travel sector has developed to a somewhat different direction than other bigger destinations. The tourism companies are rather small family businesses operated by locals. Hotels and cabins are situated in their own privacy by lakes, in forests or forested areas. Hence the sense of space and silence are very much part of the experiences offered to tourists.

We are looking for small tour operators to partner with us in packaging the tours. In Posio there are several small companies offering high quality products that together would make for a unique package for FIT’s and small groups. We are located 45min from Kuusamo Airport and 1,5 hours from Rovaniemi.

In October 2020, we became the first Finnish travel destination to receive the Sustainable Travel Finland label granted by Visit Finland. From 2022 we have received Green Destinations certificate with Gold award.
